Aleshia is a meditation teacher in training, daily practitioner, and writer with more than ten years of experience on the page. Her work explores returning to self, authenticity, and wellness through the lens of mindfulness.
Her meditation practice began with an internal tug, the sense that if she wanted to change her life, she would have to go within. That first fifteen-minute sit has since grown into a daily discipline, and into the questions she now brings to herself and others: what it takes to come home to yourself, and what becomes possible once you do.
She is currently at work on her next book, The Invitation. Her previous works include Mama, Is My Hair Good? (2015), a children's book, and Unconscious Heroes: A Collection of Short Stories (2020), and she is pursuing certification in meditation and mindfulness.
